A primary election Tuesday will eliminate one of three candidates running for the open 11th District supervisory seat on the Milwaukee County Board.

Researchers have discovered a new species of bacteria in Wisconsin that causes Lyme disease, already the most frequently reported tick-borne illness in the state.

The incumbent is being challenged by state Sen. Chris Larson, Joseph T. Klein and Steve Hogan. The top two finishers in Tuesday’s primary will move on to the April 5 general election.
